About this trip

Experience the magic of Grand Teton National Park through an exclusive winter wildlife, nature, and landscape photography workshop. Set in an intimate small group environment, this workshop provides personalized instruction and a focused learning experience, allowing you to enhance your skills and capture breathtaking moments in one of the most awe-inspiring winter landscapes in the U.S. Each day, we’ll explore the park at dawn and dusk, when wildlife is most active and the soft, ethereal light of winter casts a serene glow over the landscape.

As snow blankets the park, the rugged peaks and frozen lakes create a stunning winter wonderland, with snow-dusted trees and icy rivers reflecting the crisp, blue sky. You’ll have the rare opportunity to photograph wildlife adapting to the cold season: moose moving through snowy meadows, elk returning to the Elk Refuge, wolves tracking through the powder, and bison braving the winter winds. This is your chance to capture the raw beauty of nature during its most tranquil and transformative time of year, all while refining your photography technique in one of America’s most iconic wilderness areas.

With a small group size, you’ll receive individualized feedback, ample time to perfect your craft, and an unforgettable connection to the wild as the park embraces its winter stillness. Whether you’re fine-tuning your skills or capturing your first snow-covered scene, this workshop offers the perfect opportunity to create lasting memories in the heart of winter’s beauty.

5 Day Winter Photography Workshop in Grand Teton National Park

Each day of the 5-day winter photography workshop (except for arrival and departure days) will begin with an early morning excursion to capture the park’s serene beauty and elusive wildlife in the soft, diffused light of dawn. We’ll venture into prime winter locations where you may photograph moose navigating snow-covered meadows, bison forging paths through deep drifts, and possibly even wolves or coyotes moving silently across the frozen landscape. Throughout these sessions, you’ll receive personalized guidance and real-time feedback to elevate your technique and storytelling through the lens.

Afternoons will be dedicated to image review, post-processing tips, and in-depth discussions on composition, exposure, and working with challenging winter light—all within a supportive small-group environment. As the day winds down, we’ll head back into the field to capture the breathtaking stillness of the Tetons in the soft, pastel glow of sunset—an ideal time to photograph snowy peaks, frosted trees, and wildlife against a backdrop of winter's quiet beauty.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll be fully immersed in the dramatic winter environment of Grand Teton National Park. From the crisp morning air to the peaceful hush of snow-covered valleys, this workshop offers an unforgettable opportunity to refine your skills and create powerful, evocative winter imagery—guided every step of the way in one of America’s most iconic and photogenic wilderness areas.
